Our care begins as early as a positive pregnancy test and continues through labor and birth, offering steady guidance and compassionate support every step of the way.

Day & Night Time Newborn Care Support

Ingabire Family Services offers compassionate, reliable newborn care to support families during the early weeks after birth. Our services are designed to nurture infant well-being while empowering parents with knowledge, confidence, and hands-on support during this important transition.

Care is personalized, culturally responsive, and grounded in evidence-based newborn practices.

Role & Responsibilities
The Newborn Care Specialist provides feeding support for breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, or combination feeding. They assist with diapering, bathing, umbilical cord care, and overall newborn hygiene. They educate families on safe sleep practices and provide guidance on newborn safety. Gentle support is offered to help establish newborn sleep habits and daily routines. The specialist uses soothing techniques and responds appropriately to newborn cues. Parent education and emotional reassurance are provided to support confidence and adjustment. Light newborn-related household tasks are completed as part of newborn care. Overnight newborn care is provided to allow parents time to rest and recover.

Daytime newborn care services are available from 7:00AM to 8:00PM. Overnight newborn care services are available from 8:00PM to 8:00AM, with a commitment to a minimum of eight hours per shift.

Live - In Newborn Care Support

Ingabire Family Services provides live-in Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) support for families seeking consistent, around-the-clock care during the early postpartum period. A live-in NCS is a highly trained, non-clinical professional who resides in the family’s home, typically beginning immediately after birth and continuing for approximately three to four months.

This service is designed to support infant well-being while allowing parents time to rest, recover, and build confidence in caring for their newborn.

Duration & Structure
Services typically begin when the baby comes home and last 3–4 months
Care may be provided around the clock or in extended shifts (16–20 hours per day with scheduled rest periods)
Support is tailored to meet the unique needs of each family


Role & Responsibilities
Complete newborn care, including feeding support, diapering, soothing, and settling
Bringing the baby to a breastfeeding parent and supporting feeding routines
Establishing healthy sleep and feeding patterns
Managing infant-related tasks and maintaining a calm, organized care environment

Living Arrangements
A private bedroom is required within the family’s home
A private bathroom is preferred when available

Sleep Consultant Support

Virtual or In-Person

Ingabire Family Services offers gentle, evidence-based sleep consultant support for infants and young children. Services are available virtually or in person and are tailored to each family’s needs, values, and lifestyle.

Support includes personalized sleep plans, education on age-appropriate sleep development, routine guidance, and ongoing support to address common sleep challenges. Our goal is to help families feel confident, supported, and well-rested—without pressure or judgment.

Roles & Responsibilities
The Sleep Consultant conducts individualized sleep assessments to understand each family’s unique needs and goals. They provide education on infant and child sleep development, including normal sleep patterns and age-appropriate expectations. Personalized, gentle sleep plans are created to support healthy routines and sustainable sleep habits. The consultant offers guidance for common sleep challenges such as frequent night waking, short naps, or difficulty settling. Ongoing support is provided through follow-ups and plan adjustments to ensure progress and confidence. Services are delivered virtually or in person, depending on family preference, while maintaining a supportive, nonjudgmental approach that honors family values.

Our wide range of home care services is designed to meet your home health needs, whether you need a one-hour visit or full-time support. From 24-hour care to live-in care, our licensed staff is committed to improving the quality of life for each client and their family.
